Internet sleuths claim Gabby Petito’s boyfriend Brian Laundrie is seen reading a book about women who go missing in a video uploaded to the couple’s Youtube travel channel.
Laundrie, who has been named a person of interest in the case, is briefly shown reading what appears to be Jeff VanderMeer’s “Annihilation,” a 2014 novel about four women who venture into the so-called Area X, where three of them die and the fourth stays permanently.
“The clip is of … Brian reading a book, and it is apparently called Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer, about groups of people exploring uncharted terrain that go missing,” TikTok user Alyssa Rose said about the “disturbing” video, according to Newsweek.
The eerie clip was posted

Pretty young white girl always gets good press, and ratings.

And she is the only pretty young female to have been murdered this month? Sell you a bridge if you believe that one.
This is rediculous. I’ve read that book. Does that mean I’m a potential murderer?
Same reason that successful men fall for lowlife women who ruin their lives.
Sexual desire often doesn’t correlate with stability or practicality...
I always wondered why the police never asked her how she happened to be on-the-scene around so many murders...
“And she is the only pretty young female to have been murdered this month?”
Did you miss the mystery part? Most murders don’t make much news because there is no doubt about the outcome.
It’s a sci-fi novel. Was made into a bad movie called annihilation a few years ago

Yeah, No I didn’t - it didn’t seem much of a mystery in the first place, unless it was aliens or monsters. Boy friend is just toooo obvious. Waste of time.
My daughters have not made too many really bad “stupid choices”, but she still reminds me of my daughters.
Why? because no matter what “stupid choices” said daughters make, no daughter deserves to be murdered, mine or anyone else’s.
Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie had a blog showing their travels through National Parks. The blog was called” van-life “and had thousands of viewers. Apparently Gabby Perito edited the blog, I think she was talented. The scenery was beautiful and the attractive couple seemed so happy.
The Moab, Utah police stop of Gabby and Brian that was videotaped and released to the public was an eye-opener. All was not well, as someone had complained to police there was an altercation between the couple.
Now Gabby is dead and Brian Laundrie is hiding. Very sad situation.
No one “deserves” to be murdered, but they are. Wrong place and time, poor choices and the list goes on.
We cant control our future but we sure can make choices that make a difference in its outcome.
I think this was a convenient distraction from all the horrible news coming from Joe Biden. The media had to change what we were looking at. CoVid will be back in the news before you know it. The distractions are meant to keep us from learning about yet another calamity brought to us courtesy of the Biden-Biden-Harris administration.

it’s the DAILY DOUBLE!!
*** The scenery was beautiful and the attractive couple seemed so happy.***
This is what social media has brought to the masses. The reality is that our lives are full of ups and downs, struggles, accomplishments, etc, but many times, people only want others to see the good and beautiful things. No harm in that. We should focus on the positive, but there are also negative things there that are just as real.
We can and often do choose to edit out the unpleasant times to show the world, but the truth is, the difficult moments are always there.
My kids don’t understand why I don’t like social media. They seem to thrive on it sometimes. It’s just not my cup of tea.
Anyone who has ever been behind a camera can tell you what editing is. People sometimes tell me I take beautiful photographs. My response to them is that sometimes I get lucky. They have no idea how many photos I throw in the trash, never to see the light of day.
So I am very aware of what we see in any media form. It is almost always edited in some fashion. Especially when it is something we want the world to see.
” If he was reading Missing 411 before David Paulides, then that world seem. “ i do not understand this response.
Watching the movie, I wasn't inspired to make women disappear.
It's not like the movie was about a husband who wanted to get rid of his wife.
It was the "tough all-female team" aspect that made the biggest impression.
It was a little ridiculous.
Her BF was reading a fictional novel. But, David Paulides (retired LEO) writes books and makes videos about missing people, mostly in state parks. The books are called ‘issuing 411. His videos on YT are here
