In Arizona they paint the tree trunks white to protect from the heat. So there’s that.

We did this on Guam. It was $97.00 per 5 gallons and took 35 gallons to cover the concrete roof about 1/4 inch thick.
I was afraid the airport was gonna tell our roof had blinded pilots landing at the airport and make me change the color. It dropped our electric bill by nearly $75 a month. I just had to go up there once a year or so and clean the leaves our of the drains.
On a dollars saved scale, this was the best home improvement we ever did.
I recall a lot of white tile roofs in florida ended up turning black from whatever.
That was going to be my question, but you froze is the answer.
Those in the “Desert know” have white cars. It really does make a huge difference and even save gas because the A/C doesn’t have to work as hard.
