I meant whether a person gets vaccinated. That was never politicized except among a fringe group.
Yes, this particular vaccine has been politicized almost from the very beginning.
You left out the part about how the pre-internet vaccines went through 10 years of study, ostensibly to ferret out all the adverse reactions before giving them to the general public.
With these vaccines, all the VAERS type side effects were being labeled "unexpected" when they were first observed. Why was that?

You are correct.
Polio was one of shortest times of development to the public before Covid.
I do question some of the long studies.
While studies are being conducted, people are dying.
I think there could be a better balance, faster research as we’re much more advanced than the days of Measles, Mumps, Polio. Perhaps cut it down from 10 years to 3? I don’t know.
But you are right…….now the actual damages need to be examined.
The problem with that? What numbers are real? What are the true facts when everyone seems to have their own?

Do you know of any way to tell if any penalties have been assessed for false reporting to VAERS?
Is it safe to assume that if a penalty was assessed for a false report, then that false report would also have been removed from VAERS?
So, either: 1) your assumption that penalties are assessed is true and that VAERS has been cleansed of false reports, 2) your assumption that penalties are assessed is true and that VAERS has been partially cleansed of those false reports that were discovered, 3) your assumption that penalties are assessed is true but nobody is enforcing it, or 4) your assumption that penalties are assessed is not true and that VAERS is what it is.

This will always be an issue. For every delayed study there is also a thalidomide horror story.
Cyclamates is another case where it was allowed for 19 years before being banned in the USA because one lone study of rats that were vastly overfed it developed cancer. However, more than 130 countries allow it.
That's why there was a push for "right to try" legislation. Rather than mandate a rushed vaccine on everyone, they should have pursued a "right to try" approach and let people who wanted it to get it while it was still being studied.

I can give you some cursory evidence the numbers in the OP are “inflated” or more properly, ‘subtly misrepresented’
When you go to the link, right above the “total number” is a toggle switch. To the left, it shows reports from outside the US regarding manufacturer (according to the FAQ) and to the right it shows US/Territories/Unknown. The ‘unknown’ isn’t defined
When on the left which is the pre-set, the deaths show 14,925; when toggled to the right - US figures the deaths show 6,756 and the numbers are decreased across the board
