I strongly suspect this happened to my friend’s father.
Age 78, but I would give my left big toe to have his posture. Looked like a young and very upright 78 to me.
Wife got Covid and her doctor prescribed something to clear it up— and it wasn’t even her GP, but her gastro surgeon. Not sure what it was, but I suspect this doc is one of the ones who believes in Ivermectin and the like.
Did the wife do the sane thing and call the guy to ask him to prescribe the same for her husband? No, because unfortunately she’s a crazy dingbat.
It’s things like this that make me think to myself, “Do I really need to carry all this stuff downstairs in one trip? Would it kill me to make more trips and hold on to the handrail?”
I’m not frail by any means, but I am a klutz. Just don’t need to risk having to go to the hospital for an overnight stay over surgery for a broken wrist set and having them take me hostage over a false Covid diagnosis.
For the Canadians via CTH.

Officials say Judge Christopher Cooper’s ties to leading Democrats and key figure in discredited Trump-Russia probe should disqualify him from case of Michael Sussmann, lawyer who fed anti-Trump dirt to FBI while hiding connection to Hillary Clinton campaign.
________________________________________________________________________________
Last week, the special counsel appointed to oversee the probe into the FBI’s investigation of former president Donald Trump indicted Michael Sussmann, a lawyer for the 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential campaign. Republicans and Trump allies are optimistic about the latest development in John Durham’s investigation but are still concerned that Attorney General Merrick Garland might halt the investigation to protect allies and even the president himself.
