I play piano as a hobby, been doing it a long time. It’s one thing to be able to play that, it takes an insane amount of practice for years that I wouldn’t even begin to attempt but to write it? I can’t even begin to comprehend how, and he pumped these out like handing out candy. Just unbelievable genius, he must have heard it in his head and literally wrote it out like taking dictation.
The people that can hear a song and play it astound me . I have a passing acquaintance with someone that can do it.
Not someone that you would think is a mental genius..but he sure can play
He used a lot of the same riffs over and over again just putting a slightly different twist on them.
For instance, some choir directors use a vocal exercise that goes “Me My Me My Mo”. Mozart uses similar notes in both Figaro and Abduction from the Seraglio.
And NB that K448 has phrases which begin with the same two notes which he uses in Eine Kleine Nacthmusik.
That said, Old Ben can’t play any instrument, can’t read music, and hasn’t been in a choir for half a century. So I do defer to actual FR musical experts.
“ he must have heard it in his head and literally wrote it out like taking dictation.”
Zappa was very similar in his work.

George F. Handel is who amazes me. Wrote “The Messiah” in such a short time. All the vocal parts. The orchestra parts. It’s perfect. How did he “hear” it?
Like Beetoven when he wrote and played many pieces whwn he was deaf.
.aaMAZING.
