I had that album.
“Doesn’t Somebody Want To Be Wanted”
That was the song that was playing during the infamous WOWO EBS False Alarm (February 20, 1971)

I had the lunchbox.
They had some surprisingly good songs for a weekly television show.
Susan Dey...SCHWING!
Well if the world was ending in a nuclear holocaust, you could do worse than go out with the Partridge Family.
I believe one of their many hits was “How Can I Be Sure?”
It was more a solo for David than a group effort, sort of the way the song “Michelle” was totally performed by Paul McCartney, at least vocally it was.
*”How Can I Be Sure” was written by Eddie Brigati and Felix Cavaliere of The Rascals.
Especially Laurie.
Hell, Shirley Jones was hot too.
“Laurie Partridge...not really playing the keyboards” - The Richmeister (SNL)
But playing our heartstrings...
I remember that song.
I was one bad-ass hippie.../dry>
I used to get Susan Dey and Peggy Lipton mixed up.
Later on, I could see they are not alike at all if you really look. Susan’s eyes are more distinct, and she tended to smile a lot.
Peggy had smooth, almost a nordic look to her, and kept a more placid expression in public. A young Greta Garbo.
Susan Dey...SCHWING!
+1
Pretty much The Wrecking Crew played on their albums.
Point Me In The Direction Of Albuquerque is much underrated.
Here they are from 2017, and when they perform Hair, it is very solid.
I may still have a Partridge Family album or two, but the lunchbox is long gone. Too bad my pack rat mother didn’t save that one and the Laugh-In one - highly collectible!
