so by going back to move a storage unit of her stuff (and his?) he gained access to any dairies or such she may have kept?? all of her possessions? If a couple were having problems, wouldn’t a rational person tend to put that off until the relationship was reevaluated? How did that monetary value lost compare to leaving a ‘fragile’ fiance alone for five days in a strange state? A fiance who had stated to the police that she ‘didn’t drive the van for long distances’? (was unskilled or afraid to drive?)

He and Gabby lived with his parents. He moved Gabby's things from storage to his parents' house. So, when he returned to Gabby in Utah, his parents had Gabby's things in Florida. Then, when he returned to his parents' house in Florida without Gabby, both he and his parents had possession of Gabby's things.
He had control of any evidence, and so did his parents.
