Biden's great-great-great-grandfather, Jesse Robinett, was found to have owned two slaves in Maryland, according to the 1800 census, Bennerman found in his research.

Another Biden great-great-great-grandfather, Thomas Randle, enslaved a 14-year-old, according to the census records and other documents in the mid-1800s.

It literally says NOTHING about who YOU are.

Some of my ancestors did too, and I found that out myself. If you dig deep enough, you’re likely to find all kinds of stuff in your family tree. That’s just the way it is. I also have a 2nd great-grandfather who wore the blue of the 30th Illinois Infantry for the entire Civil War. I can’t take credit for what he did, just as I can’t take the blame for what the slaveowners did. All of those people were long gone before I came on the scene They did what they did, I do what I do, and that’s just the way it is.

I never saw that the evidence of Robert Byrd being a high ranking member of the KKK did anything to 'whipsaw' him. Hillary didn't seem to have a problem with him, and Obama congratulated him on having 'evolved' over the years. (And Byrd was modern, not somebody's long-past ancestor!)

Here's something that the illustrious Senator Democrat Robert Byrd wrote:
