Recall Replacement Candidates for Governor - Statewide Results
https://electionresults.sos.ca.gov/returns/governor
Someone kindly explain to me where I am going wrong in my understanding.
I must not be reading this correctly.
Larry Elder gets nearly 2,400,000 votes, which is close to, but not quite, 50% of the votes out of the total votes for a candidate to replace Gruesome.
That means, that nearly 5 million people votes for a candidate to replace Gruesome.
But I thought Gruesome won with about 5 million votes to keep him and only half as many to send him packing.
I was a pscyh major, not a math major, so I guess I’m crazy.
I was a Field Artillery Chief Computer, back in the days when the "Computer" was a person with a pencil and a slide rule. I can't make that sh!t add up either.
People could vote no on the recall, but still vote for a candidate in case the recall succeeds.
