This is an interesting anecdote. A friend’s son in law was hospitalized with covid related issues, mostly high blood pressure. He is a young man. He relayed what nurses told him: Several of the patients that are dying are doing so because they are so anxious and their body cannot cope with it. The are literally worrying themselves to death.

Interesting. I believe there are many worrying themselves to death, and we’ve heard of the escalating suicide rate for over a year already.

Possible, as stress and anxiety compromise the immune system.

Someone on one of the threads I posted about ten days ago posted a link from the CDC about a study showing that anxiety is one of the major risk factors for Covid.

Stupid me didn’t write the post name and # down (I was out and about and saw it via my phone at the time).

A lot of overreating is done out of an attempt to deal with anxiety, so it makes sense that a certain number of obese people also have high anxiety and thus have two co-morbities.

Absolute truth. Mind affects the physical body even more than the body affects the mind. Good cheer, hope, determination, discernment based on critical thinking are vital for all-round well being.
