The vaccines are not sterilizing. They do not prevent transmission. Someone can still get infected with this virus and pass it on to others even if they’re vaccinated. This is especially true if their antibodies have waned or if they become non-neutralizing by mutational escape, which SARS-CoV-2 is quite adept at. Not to mention, if SARS-CoV-2 turns out to have Dengue-like ADE, then when those antibodies from vaccines made with sequences from earlier strains become non-neutralizing, they may actually become Trojan Horses and assist the virus in infecting macrophages.
