I mourn for pets more than most people
Ditto.
I do too. I don’t like most people most of the time.
Somebody dumped a beautiful dog out on the road behind us. She hung out there for about a week before ending up at my house. I tried calling the shelter but they are closed to the public to keep their volunteers from getting sick. They asked if I could foster her and said that after 7 days I could adopt her. Well, I already have 4 and pup sit one 12 hours a day but I said sure. She has been in my house and in the fenced yard with my dogs. The waiting period is up on Monday so I sent them a PM on Facebook and said I will adopt her if she isn’t claimed.
She’s a young dog and one of the best behaved dogs I have ever met. She is spayed, crate trained, house broken, polite, non-aggressive, quiet, and for the life of me I can’t figure out why she was dumped. She’s fitting in with my pack beautifully. If she has a medical problem they didn’t want to pay for I’ll take care of that. The main medical issue here is heartworms. She shows NO symptoms of that so if she’s positive hopefully it will be an easy fix.
Dana isn’t one of my favorite people but I respect her for giving so much love and caring to Jasper. That makes her decent in my book.

The truth is what it is.
