Excerpt:
...In his neatly handwritten letter, Hasan asked his attorney, retired Army Col. John Galligan, to deliver his message of congratulations to the Taliban’s leadership — many of whom were held at Guantanamo Bay until they were freed by the Obama administration in a controversial swap for U.S. Army deserter Bowe Bergdahl .
“I’m not at all surprised by Maj. Nidal Hasan’s recent statement — he’s always been consistent in the terms of his support for the governments to be rooted upon Sharia law,” said Galligan, who is appealing Hasan’s court-martial conviction and death sentence. “Given the Taliban victory in Afghanistan and President Biden ’s apparent capitulation on many fronts, Nidal Hasan and I are anxious to see what, if any, action will be taken with respect to the individuals still incarcerated at Guantanamo.”
Writing from death row at Fort Leavenworth, Nidal Hasan boasted “WE HAVE WON” and congratulated the Taliban. Hasan, who gunned down 14 people and wounded 43 more, urged the nascent terrorist government to implement its brand of brutal oppression under the guise of religion.

Wolf in sheep’s clothing? Missouri Attorney General – a current Senate candidate – has history of helping communist China
Excerpt:
Clearly the Republicans have a very good shot of taking back control of the U.S. Senate next November. With that being said, merely having an “R” next to one’s name doesn’t necessarily translate into a good thing for the country.
This brings us to Missouri, where current attorney general Eric Schmitt is hoping to gain the Republican nomination for the Senate seat currently held by Republican Roy Blunt, who has announced he is not seeking reelection.
Schmitt seems like a good pick…a Republican who has already won statewide election in the state and he has also said the right things, this time about communist China. Schmitt has been one of the most vocal opponents against China over the past couple of years. That however wasn’t always the case.
...Back in 2011, Schmitt was pushing for a project called Aerotropolis, also known as “China Hub,” which was designed to develop a global cargo hub at the Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, believing that such an arrangement would increase exports and foreign trade in Missouri.
In pushing for the project for St. Louis, Schmitt, who also visited the communist nation alleged that Chicago was “maxed out” and could not meet the needs of the fledgling Chinese economy. At that time, both Indianapolis and Cincinnati were in competition with St. Louis for the Chinese trade market, according to the Webster-Kirkland Times.
Schmitt even took it upon himself to visit China in order to get the deal worked out.
“We need to be a player again,” Schmitt said.
“We need to invest in our future and our infrastructure. We have a location and transportation assets that can put us on the map again and improve our economy.”
Schmitt worked alongside city Democrats to push forward the bill, which included an economic incentives package which contained significant tax breaks, including as much as $360 million in tax credits for developers who would use those credits toward building warehouses and establishing the international deals.
Despite Schmitt and the Democrat’s best efforts, the program never received enough support to get it off the ground.
...Although China Hub didn’t get any traction, another bill that Schmitt supported did and it is still having negative effects on Missouri even today.
Back in 2013, Virginia-based Smithfield Foods, the country’s largest pork producer was in the process of wanting to sell out to a Chinese company.
However, Smithfield had a portion “of its operations [were] in Missouri, where a state law prohibited foreign ownership of agricultural property,” as reported in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch at the time. Going back to 1978, Missouri had a law that prohibited foreign agricultural ownership at a time when foreign investments in the U.S. was “creating concerns.”
...WH Group, a Chinese food processing conglomerate, bought out Smithfield Foods, which owned some 40,000 acres of Missouri farmland.
In 2015, “legislators scrapped the approval requirement, making it easier for foreign companies to purchase land through shell companies, and harder for the state’s government to monitor purchasing,” the Counter reported.
The Post-Dispatch reported in 2015 that the Chinese invested more than $860 million in Missouri between 2000 to 2014, with a vast majority of those investments taking place in the 5th and 6th Congressional districts “because of Smithfield foods.”
Beck is now trying to reverse the damage caused by SB9, the bill Schmitt supported, claiming “that the practice presents both national security and food security concerns.”
Former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens is running against Schmitt in 2022 and spoke to Breitbart News recently. Greitens for what it is worth was forced to resign in 2018 as he faced possible impeachment proceedings over allegations of sexual and political misconduct.
...“[It’s] just one example where you have politicians engaged in these special interest tax credit programs designed, in this case, to benefit the country of China rather than the United States of America,” Greitens said.
“These politicians push legislation to allow Missouri farmland to be sold to Chinese communist party owned companies. It is disgusting.”
For his part, Schmitt has tried to separate himself from his past actions.
For example last year in his role as attorney general he filed a lawsuit against the Chinese government, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and other Chinese officials and institutions, “alleging that their actions to suppress information, arrest whistleblowers, and deny the contagious nature of the 2019 novel coronavirus led to loss of life and severe economic consequences in Missouri.”
...When he was questioned about his decisions regarding SB9 and China Hub, and what if any policies he would further if elected senator to loosen China’s grip on the U.S., his office didn’t specifically answer those questions and only answered in general terms.
“General Schmitt received the threat of sanctions from China because he was the first Attorney General in the country to file suit against both the Chinese government and the CCP to get to the bottom of the origins of COVID-19. To say that General Schmitt has ‘helped China’ is laughable,” his office said.
