I would never suggest that you are a Liar.
It is simply that I have known so very few incompetent Nurses. I have many Nurse friends and I have great respect for the profession.
I am sorry that you had to endure incompetence during your travails.
I grew up in a public school teaching home, and married into the nursing profession. In both cases, I have heard about the ones who are good, the ones who are just competent, and the ones who are pretty worthless. What is scary is hearing how some of the bad ones got/kept jobs despite situations that justified termination or arrest.
Thanks. There were some very competent nurses that took care of me, but what they, and the respiratory specialists that had to be called in several times, told me is that they were sending nurses to help from other wards that had not worked with trachs. I told the doctors about it on my follow-up visit, as I wouldn’t want others to go through what I went through.
