She has a hard job. She has to explain, in coherent words and sentences, the incoherent ramblings of an old fool. She has to justify the actions of someone who is committed to destroying the country. She has to deny what is obvious. It’s hard work, and the strain is getting to her.
I wish her prompt failure, a fast, long and leisurely retirement in which she regains her self-esteem after lying so much.
That is a good summary of Jen’s duties and abilities. However, I do not think it is a strain on her. She was made for the job. I think lying is so easy for her that it causes no inner conflicts. I think she enjoys telling whoppers and watching most of the press smile and say “yes, ma’am” as they jot down their notes. The only strain I see is when Doocy catches her in an obvious lie and she is trying to restrain herself from saying “take this fool out and shoot him”. If she had the power she would order it.
