Processed cheese slices are the UK's favourite type of cheese, a survey has revealed.
The cheap, sliced cheese used in burgers and sandwiches topped a poll of 2,000 British adults to mark National Burger Day.
Cheddar came in second place, with 33 per cent of voters naming it as their favourite, followed by mozzarella.

My fave when I lived there was Wensleydale. The closest I can find here is a brand of British cheddar at Kroger. Crumbly and creamy. Yummy!

These “favourites” add up to significantly more than 100%. If respondents were allowed to name more than one “favourite,” it does undermine the definition of the word.
With that said, I’d have voted for Stilton, the king of cheeses (and the cheese of kings).

LOL, I was just talking a cheap shot at the people here who bad-mouth something like American Cheese, yet we all know what they get at McDonald’s and what they put on their hamburger BBQs.
