The US Capitol Police officer who shot and killed pro-Trump rioter Ashli Babbitt on January 6 will not face any disciplinary action, the department said Monday.
"USCP's Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) determined the officer's conduct was lawful and within Department policy, which says an officer may use deadly force only when the officer reasonably believes that action is in the defense of human life, including the officer's own life, or in the defense of any person in immediate danger of serious physical injury," the department said in a statement.
The officer will not be named, the department said, out of consideration for the officer's safety.

The officer is guilty of first degree homicide. Ashli posed no threat to him. If she had pulled a gun, yes. But she did not. He MURDERED her.
Ashley was shot down like a dog it’s disgusting or should I say disconcerting being an American and expecting better. We better fix this derailment of our country by the so called government.
It was totally lawful to shoot her because she was a patriotic American. Sort of like how killing Jews in the streets of Nazi Germany was perfectly lawful.
manslaughter at a minimum
The cop gets less time..no time..and a member of the pb get..was it 5 month for practically nothing.
Which is just another way of saying they can murder anyone and there is nothing you can do about it.
