It is my understanding that the vaccine injury fund is a government fund not pharmaceutical funded. Working with handicapped children as an RN for years never met one who won anything despite issues with their children happening immediately after the multi dose vaccines. Guess the pharmaceutical company had better lawyers.
Yes, the fund is a government fund. The PHARMA lawyers are not involved. And the Govt. won’t pay if they can avoid it.
They have been especially adverse to paying for MMR vax/autism. Some people got money from them by labeling the injury as something else.
And as I said before, the only way the PHARMA/Manufacturer is liable, is if they fail to put an adverse event warning on the insert. Then the injured can sue the company directly.
And the other way is if they commit a felony in violating the anti-trust laws for example, then their immunity from lawsuits is altered.
This so worries me since my first grandson is arriving any day now and his parents will be faced with all these vaccines. My own children had the usual for their time, DPT, MMR etc, but now I hear there are multiple times more that they want to give babies. My son told me his friends who have had babies this spring were told that their little ones would receive 4 shots in one visit!
I have told them to do their research and not to be pressured into every vaccine the doctor wants to inject.
