Can you explain what you consider “improper firearms handling”, please.
I made that statement to LJ, and you need to see the video to grasp the full impact of Mark McCloskey waving his AR around, and whoops, points it at his wife’s chest.
He, at least, had trigger control, while she had her finger firmly wrapped around the trigger. Unknown at the time, her gun was inoperable.
There are “brandishing” laws out there, and the general issue of not pointing them at things you don’t intend to immediately shoot. Both would be defeated by a good imminent threat defense.
