Trying to put a symbol on an a or e on my laptop doesn’t work either. I tried the ways you suggested and didn’t get anything but a bunch of a’s or e’s or accent symbols.
I wonder, this is going to sound sooooo racist lol, but is it because you are in Canada, maybe your computers are configured differently than ours in the states????

Aw, a Yorkie!! When I was a dog groomer I had such anxiety grooming some Yorkies. My clippers were bigger than their legs! I groomed one that was like a squirrel on crack lol. And he’d bite for everything. So I could only use the clippers around his face. Poor thing was owned by a democrat hahahaha.

Jewel was a champion show dog (I consider her a rescue) who was groomed every week. Zeus came to me as a puppy so he wasn’t groomed like Jewel was. I refer to him as my swamp dog because he’s never been near a smelly swamp that he didn’t love to jump into. When he gets a bath after one of those swamp adventures, his eyes throw daggers at me for bathing him and he ignores me for at least an hour. Jewel doesn’t mind a home bath.
But when I take them to the groomer, Jewel hides under the car seat and Zeus throws himself at the groomer’s door to get in. If you know what makes them behave opposite to their home experiences, I’d love to hear it. Aside from their schizoid bathing behaviours, they’re the sweetest-natured little creatures.
