‘Let me just finish!’ Biden adviser has tense exchange with reporter over Afghanistan debacle - https://t.co/NSfIvg4Fxm pic.twitter.com/0tblTOokem— Breaking911 (@Breaking911) August 17, 2021
They cannot understand the concept of “logical outcome” of anything. Nothing. That’s the sickness of liberalism that cannot be cured. It’s fatal because even if they could see it they would deny it. To admit it is to admit they are wrong. They will blow this world up and everything in it before they admit they are wrong. On anything.

Exactly.
Wrestling with weasels is futile.
You likely know of “the three s’s.” I make it four, using shut-up first, and last.
Are we seeing a move to the exits?
Watch “The Pianist”. It’s very educational.
There will be ramifications to this debacle. The aftershocks will soon start occurring as we are widely perceived as weak, leaderless and even vulnerable. Our adversaries are always looking to exploit chinks in the armor.
One thing that concerns me is is the potential for Biden and company overreacting to something in an attempt to regain credibility and respect. A miscalculation like that could trigger some very nasty problems for us.
Either way, we’re not in a good place right now.
This is the guy Tucker said has never had a real job and he’s in his 40s.
Regards,
One thing you can be sure about: weakness invites aggression.
It always has, always will. Just a matter of time.
(Trump understood this very well.)
Interesting tidbit showing ole Joey as he really is, and not the moderate, kind non foul mouthed persona the media hoisted on us during the election, and as a counter to those offended by Trumps alleged insensitive communications style.
In 2010, he told Richard Holbrooke, Obama’s special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, that the U.S. had to leave Afghanistan regardless of the consequences for women or anyone else. According to Holbrooke’s diary, when he asked about American obligations to Afghans like the girl in the Kabul school, Biden replied with a history lesson from the final U.S. withdrawal from Southeast Asia in 1973: “Fuck that, we don’t have to worry about that. We did it in Vietnam, Nixon and Kissinger got away with it.”
When you live your life with EVERYTHING electronic giving you almost instant gratification-—TV remote—Microwave-—cell phone-—GPS instead of a map——electronic games...
you NEVER learn to think in advance of ANYTHING
“Vietnam, Nixon and Kissinger got away with it...”

Welcome Scranton boy Joe to the new world of more scrutiny. It’s not a question of ‘if’ leaving Afghanistan... it’s the ‘how’....
Yup
I think they’re missing some kind of “common sense” gene. In every area of life, they screw it up. Because they cannot think beyond “today”. Planning is beyond their comprehension. Every single one of them. Actually it’s scary. How the hell do you allow someone like that to be in charge of anything??!
Guess it depends on your definition of “tense.”
It has been almost 12 hours since sunup in Kaboom. There are the reports of how many Americans were airlifted out of there today?
I have not seen any such reports as I scan the news this morning.
“Waiting for Kamala to defend the human rights of Afghan women being execute for incorrect headgear. Full bee keeper back in fashion.”
I saw on the news that one woman who was defying the taliban was already shot for not being in a full burka while outside her home.
Aw shucks, now why would the GOP do that? ;-)
They're up to their necks in the swamp. All they can do is hold hands and sing Kumbaya...
Nero has a friend who knew.
Of course, there are those who are like the Jews on "Ship of Fools"
Lowenthal counsels Glocken: "We are Germans first and Jews second...There are nearly a million Jews in Germany. What are they going to do, kill all of us?"
Taiwan is also home to many semiconductor industries, so a communist Chinese takeover of Taiwan would have global economic impacts in ways that Afghanistan does not.
What makes Afghanistan different is that it was a forward deployment base sitting right on China's western border. The United States could have used Afghanistan as a rapid deployment site to keep the peace in the Middle East, as well as an intel hub against Russia to the north and China to the east, while settling in the way we did in Germany, Japan, and South Korea.
It didn't have to be a continued war zone. The mission could have changed to long-term regional stability and strategic deployment.

Lets all face the fact that there is no functioning government in Washington, DC. Abandoned govt buildings, no workers, the place is a ghost town and no sign of elected leaders. We are firmly in the throes of a constitutional crisis. Trump and the military need to step in and take control of this CF.
