Very good info, will save. Interesting anecdote - in 2009 during swine flu, a friend in Brazil felt sick, her husband was in the city and she was alone in the country and wanted to know what to take. I asked if she had citrus trees, and she had some lime trees. I told her to make a strong tea of the peels, lid on, simmer, and take small doses frequently. I did not know about the quinine, but did know that citrus peels/the oils have strong anti-microbial potency.
She got better.

Thanks to everybody that has replied. I guess I’ll keep it. I do take Zinc/Quercetin and will sip on some of the tonic water daily. I couldn’t remember exactly why I had it but figured it had to do with COVID because it’s not something I ever used before. I still haven’t tried any.
I figure anything we do to prevent it is better than getting jabbed. My kids got jabbed too and it concerns me a lot. I haven’t seen any issues out of my son-in-law or granddaughter but my daughter has been sickly. She has always been sickly but it’s worse. She’s not handling job stress well and her IBS is worse. She has been having some bleeding. Jab? Who knows? Her mental state seems to be more fragile than normal even for her.
One sister, one brother, and one sister-in-law has had natural COVID but all got over it just fine.

In my family, tonic was what they gave you when you were sick. (I’m finding this interesting now that all the benefits of HCQ are becoming known. How did my grandmother know this?) When I was about 6 years old, my family was visiting my uncle in San Francisco and we went out to one of those old school Chinese restaurants with the lazy Susan on the table. After dinner, I felt really ill and puked on the sidewalk. We got back to my uncle’s apartment and he said, “Here, give her this tonic water.” I took one sip and hurled so hard that I sprayed two of the bathroom walls before I could get my head in the toilet. I have never been able to drink tonic since then and he also never let me forget that incident.

😁 Sorry you were so sick but when I looked up Quinine a few minutes ago, severe stomach upset in some people is one of the side effects. I will sample a very small amount the first time.
