Some employers may suspend until you get it. Make sure you get written suspension notice if that’s the case. Employers can be sneaky too. Suspend until drop off of payroll and enter it as a termination code “employee quit or didn’t show up for work. Get everything in writing.

Yes, good point. Make them give you a written copy of their policy. Don’t just accept a verbal or email directive.
