But...I listened/watched all day, making sure to not miss 7pm central as Mike said Big News would be announced, it is now after 8:30 central, and....a big big news drop is not apparent at this time.

Maybe Mike L is pulling a Q strategy - seeming to announce something but using it to stress the enemy and making them expend ammunition. Maybe even Have the enemy try to pull something and get exposed.
