but with crutches its different....you want less pressure on the affected side.....the whole point of the boot/crutches....

a cane stabilizes...its not necessarily for having less pressure.

I didn’t have to use crutches but I did wear the boot. I still use the cane when it’s hurting or I did too much and I still have to wear the boot if it’s really bad. It’s been 2 1/2 years since I fell on it. The Ortho Specialist and PT both said it will take a very long time. If I walk in the yard, walk in town where I walk far or I have to go on and off of curbs they want me to wear the laceup brace and carry the cane.

I am SO ready to get my life back. I am able to push my little lawn mower but to do that I have to wear high top lace up leather boots with the laceup brace or I have to wear the big CAM boot. High top leather boots and shorts looks ridiculous when it’s 100 degrees outside but I don’t have neighbors so not many laugh at me.
