I just had an idea about the bees. Since bees are useful - essential - creatures, and there are bee keepers... maybe somehow contact a bee keepers association and say you have spare bees? Bee keepers are experienced with bees and might like more. My father kept bees and I remember him mentioning bee keepers he knew would do that.

Craigslist? Looking up bee keepers groups?

Just look up your local bee club for your county.
Most have members who will gladly come and get your bees. They also pick up swarms on fences, trees, etc.

When swarming European Honey Bees are relatively docile. They have no brood to protect, and the queen once pick up and put in a box, will draw the rest of the swarm to her.

Here locally in North Florida there is a group called SOB, or Save Our Bees.

Ocala area: Marion County Beekeepers Club is one of the clubs that make up the North Central Florida Beekeepers Association We meet the second Friday of each month @ 7:00PM in the Live Oak Room - 8413 SW 80th Street, Ocala, Florida 34481 President: Chappie McChesney 386-462-2637
