I use Nord VPN. I haven’t had any trouble with it, except that my banks don’t let me onto their web sites since they think it’s not me because I’m not where I’m supposed to be (home). I simply disconnect from Nord, do my banking and then reconnect. Right now, I’m connected to a server in Dallas, though I’m physically in Ontario.
