“...it’s from the National Institute of Health, as shown in the title.”

It’s from a German Journal called Small.

It’s from a university in Turkey and describes some computer modeling they ran and some cell culture experiments.

PMD makes them available, it’s not from them.

“Testing included the spike - open and closed, the ACE2 receptor...”

No. That was only running some computer simulations in a docking program using coordinates from different crystal structures.

I read the whole thing in case it’s on the Test.

I used the Evelyn Wood reading method.

I learned………..”They Admitted it.”

Profound. Shocking. Infogasm.

Oh don’t worry about the MRI stuff...

Worry that it is now in a bunch of peoples systems and brains. Now they just throw a coiled magnetic switch and people don’t believe in God anymore(and accept a bunch of other liberal ideas).

Neuromodulation of group prejudice and religious belief

newfreep didn’t reference the authors; they criticized the quality/reputation of the website (i.e., dismissively writing ‘tech blog’). I replied that the website belongs to the National Institute of Health.

Care to waste any more of our time?

Lol.

Pubmed central makes articles available. It’s not from them any more than a book is written by a library.

God bless you brother.

We will pray for you.

I think Samuel Clemens, Abraham Lincoln, and Winston Churchill said it best.

"When the facts are against you, call the National Institute of Health a library".

And then put an LOL at the end for good measure.

I love it when people pray for me.

Newfreep criticized the website as a tech blog, and chided me for being lazy. Newfreep was wrong.

You’ve tried twice now to deflect and deny. How could NewFreep’s errors embarrass you that much?

“ newfreep didn’t reference the authors; they criticized the quality/reputation of the website (i.e., dismissively writing ‘tech blog’). I replied that the website belongs to the National Institute of Health.”

It is called a Genetic Fallacy.

One commits the GnF when advocating for a conclusion based solely on origin. This is a fallacy of relevance—irrelevance, really—because the origin of a claim may be irrelevant to its truth-value. That is to say, providing an account of the genesis of a claim, its history or origin, may be informative and helpful; however, it need not determine the truth-value of the claim. Therefore, when one draws a conclusion regarding the truth-value of a claim based solely on the origin of the claim, then one may have committed the GnF.

Thank you! It’s how the trolls make their living, but I hadn’t seen a nice concise explanation of why I roll my eyes when they do this particular dance.

In my prior industry, the NIH’s Pub Med (PMC) is considered reputable; lawyers will not bother challenging research vetted by the NIH and published in Pub Med. All other research outside Pub Med is likely to be challenged in court.

But on FR, trolls shriek, “LOL!!!! ‘Pub Med just publishes it! It doesn’t mean anything!’

They make it sound like the NIH doesn’t even read it, or has some need to publish anything sent to it. Pub Med vetts content before publishing it.

I must agree with Humblegunner that nobody, well certainly most, will not read all of that ‘information.’

Having been in the field myself, for a time, I would attempt to reduce it down to something more easily definable. This is the ‘primary source’ stuff that I claim. Just make it simple. I try.

The more recent tactics have been to resort to (ECMO) Extra Corporal Membrane Oxygenation. This has for years been considered to be a very high risk therapy. It has been largely used for infants and only in recent years really been introduced to adult populations. It is dangerous yet for many, the only prospect for survival. They have been using it a ton for these so-called Covid 19 Patients who actually have very little chance for even short term survival. Largely because they have pre-existing conditions which the Covid has resulted in exacerbating. Nobody gets Covid and dies unless they were already sick. That is a fact that I am witness to.

It, ECMO, is similar to dialysis for the pulmonary system. The venous blood is routed around the lungs and re-oxygenated before being returned to the arterial system to be be circulated back into the capillaries necessary for metabolism to continue, insuring the continuation of life.

I have met many Researchers over several years. They love this geeky stuff. Dazzle them with scientific double talk and stifle all comment.

Truth is, nobody is going to read all of that. I certainly did not nor would I.
