Don’t know what’s forecast for us with this storm, but we have had hurricanes hit Nashville while still tropical storms.
And we sure don’t need the rain; we’re still cleaning up from the flooding 2 weeks ago.

The day became kinda interesting for a very short while. I’m just about finished taping this one class. There may have been 5 minutes left in the lecture. Suddenly, my phone alarm rang and so did all the students’ phones. Alarms were going off everywhere. The prof just kept on with his lecture.
I glance down. Tornado WARNING! I look outside. Not even raining. Just a high overcast gray. No wind. But still, ALARMS!
The students just keep listening to the prof drone on and on. He keeps on. Finally, at five minutes after the ending time of the class, he mercifully calls it quits. The students slowly gather their things and exit. Not a one is in a hurry.
I did get a chance to call up a weather map. The dang “tornado” was spotted on radar. It wasn’t on the ground and all this panic that the university was spouting was for a radar echo about 30 - 40 miles away. To be sure, the storm was moving in our direction, but sheesh! It sounded as if death and destruction were seconds away.
The warning was cancelled 10 minutes later. We did, and do, have rain.
Nashville should be getting much sooner than we do, so spirit will have to let me know how it is. It should be more subdued by the time it gets here, but the plants could use some rain.
After being in the desert for over 50 years I am still enjoying rainfall. And all sorts of other weather.
I still haven’t made my quinine so I’m feeling sort of disadvantaged. Do you think we’re supposed to use both that and the Ivermectin together? What is your plan if you get sick? I think I’ll just copy it cuz I know you both do good research.
