I practiced first, to see how the best freeze the peaches. Whether it’s slices or halves, peel on or peel off. Frankly I didn’t like any of them. The texture changed too much.

Are your peaches local?

I did my own experiment, with peaches....

We LOVE Fredericksburg peaches, that we can get, in July, in the TX hill country.

A couple of years ago, we tried the Georgia peaches....they had a truck delivery, near my sis, and we were able to try some.

Well, to us....there’s no comparison...the Fredericksburg peaches *won*, hands down. Maybe it’s a Texas thing :-)

I have canned, baked, and, froze the Fredericksburg peaches....and, they’ve done well, in all.

My fave is to make a peach cobbler and homemade vanilla ice cream. Mmmmm.
