“She didn’t look like she was old enough to have been there 10 years.”

LOL! I say that word wrong every time. I spell them just like I say them. It is Tenure.

“To be considered for tenure, an educator must teach at the same school for a certain number of consecutive years with satisfactory performance. Public school teachers, in grammar, middle, and high school generally have to teach for three years to earn tenure.Mar 1, 2019”

Now this doesn’t say anything about how many years education you have to have but in WA at least when my husband started you had to have at least 5 years education + the teaching. We moved to CA because they only required 4 yrs education. With 2 small children in WA we couldn’t afford for him to go back to school.

So evidently she may not have had all the years education required nor the 3 yrs teaching in.

I thought that might have been what you meant, “tenure” not “10 years.” lol

In AZ we did away with tenure, UT might have done the same.
