Perhaps the FBI does not want to come up against a single January 6 defendant who stands his ground and won't plead guilty to a lesser charge. If you read the charges and the possible penalties, they are extreme even for people who just stood on the steps of the Capitol.

I would be surpirsed if any of the deplorables who were there on Jan. 6 knew of the many laws that they were breaking. We have all watched as Dem supporters have disrupted Congressional sessions and nothing happened to them. We watched as Antifa types burned, looted and assaulted all summer and nothing happened to them.

If a case goes to court, that defendent should be entitled to discovery, which, it is very possible, the FBI does not want to happen.

EXACTLY!! Because the FBI infiltrated and got the BLM & Antifa to do all that destruction at/in the capital. A few pictures leaked out showing the FBI were part of it.
