We have (un-”vax”d) friends who’ve cancelled their trip abroad....they’re worried about testing positive while in another country.

What would be the outcome of that?

Do they make you stay until you recover? Staying extra time, in Italy, might not be such a bad thing :)

What are their “if you test positive, while here’ policies?

I have no idea but something to certainly consider.

When do you plan on traveling? Are there the same ‘no fee cancellation’ policies that seem to be applying with about all (US) airlines/hotels, here?

I don’t know. I’m not too concerned since I’ll be there for several months and can always extend the trip. Or stay with family.

I can’t go any time soon anyway, I haven’t learned Italian! Funny how I forgot about that. I’m trying to decide whether to buy Rosetta Stone or one of the others. Do you have any input on that? I can get a Rosetta Stone lifetime membership.

Yes, they do. You have to quarantine or whatever immediately. It will all be on your dime, too. When you travel, you must be prepared.
