Lol yes, that was one thing. Then I was attacked because some of us were having fun during a rally making plans to move to an island, and talking about what skills we could offer. Pure fun. This was on top of the general snide remarks often tossed my way. After a few times I just thought, “enough is enough” and called her on being so obnoxious. There was no need for it.
Now, every family has its difficult people to deal with, and forgiveness is always key. If the offending parties did what’s right and apologize for past nastiness and passive-aggressive behavior, all would be well. I’m sure everyone would be fine with putting it behind us and starting afresh. I know I would.
Hope your little furry friends are doing better. It’s hard to deal with losing a pet. I’m not as into pets as most are these days, but I do understand. I was talking to my friend from the lake today and her daughter’s cat is having neurological issues. She is going to need some help, so my friend is helping her daughter to pay the bill to save her ten year old cat, to the tune of $10,000.00. I couldn’t comprehend this - is this normal? Would most cat owners actually pay $10,000.00 to save a ten year old cat? I really am curious about this.

Yes, a simple apology goes a long way. And it shows me that the person has humility and won’t let their ego get in the way of relationships. That’s usually a good friend to have. My daughter-in-law apologized a couple times for house flaky they were with money when they were first married. So that simple apology just wiped out all the annoyance over how much money we lent them and how they wouldn’t listen. So the Slate is wiped clean and now we just go forward.
Well when you have a pet for a decade they become like family. Better than family, cuz they can’t really tell you everything they’re thinking. LOL And some animals have personalities that Bond really well with the owner. This 10 year old cat could easily live another 5 years, maybe even 10. So it must be worth it to the owner. Now my cotton might need surgery, but she’s 16. So between the expense and not wanting to put her through something so traumatic at her age plus she may only have another year to go who knows. So I wouldn’t do it.
