The current/new shingles vax is a "new-tech" sub-unit vax that mimics only a portion of the targeted antigen. Similar to how the gene therapy SARS2 vaxs mimic just the spike protein of the corona virus.
However, there were 10 years of trials before the new shingles vax was approved -- 10 years. So you should be okay.
