Sorry I’ve been so quiet. Been hanging photos and trying get the house to feel more like home.

Also my piano FINALLY arrived a bit over a week ago. It spent 3 months on it’s side. Then went from sea level and high humidity to 6000 and very little humidity. It now sounds hideous and I’m trying not to flip out. I called a piano tuner/technician and told him I’d heard better junk yard pianos lol. I hope he can fix it.

Anywhoo, this whole story is so messed up. Don’t read the Daily Beast article.. it’s just lies.

(Ironically, the Daily Beasts motto is “We push for the truth no matter who is in the way.” Hmmmm 😶🙄🤦🏻‍♀️)

Do read the NY Post article, just so you can see what they are saying about us.

My particular favorite lines are-

” She turned conservative. She bought into the conspiracy cult QAnon and she refused to believe Joe Biden defeated President Trump.”

And then this-

“And her denial of Biden’s victory is what ultimately led to her death Wednesday, caught in the siege at the Capitol, her family told the Associated Press.”

Nope, she was killed by evil dastards.

Hahaha! I’ve missed your posts - they often make me laugh!

That reminds me of this one time...

Was in an orchestra playing a concert in the remote boonies on a very mountainous island. We went there by bus. The venue had no grand piano, so one was taken there by truck from the big city.

It was late to arrive! We performed the overture, and still no piano. We, as well as the audience, sat there patiently waiting for more than a half hour, when finally, the rear doors opened, and it made its grand entrance (no pun intended) as several workmen wheeled it in on its side on some kind of large dolly contraption, down the aisle, past all the gawking onlookers, and set it up on the stage.

You can imagine the rest. We all had to stifle ourselves like you wouldn’t believe. The soloist especially. I never heard a piano sound so wretched in my life! Somehow she, and we, got all the way through the concerto. I forget whose it even was. But I’ll bet the farmers and milkmaids and tradesfolk in the audience were thinking it would’ve sounded better played on the old upright in the local tavern!
