My daughter sent a saliva sample to 23 & me a few years ago and it ultimately revealed that my half sister, who I didn’t know existed, was Miss USA first runner up in the early 2000’s (no joke)! We share the same biological dad. Yowza was that a shocker.

More importantly: Have you now established friendly relations with your half-sister? Is she invited to family reunions now? Does she invite you to her family functions? Do you correspond with each other? How has this affected you personally?

I had a half sister pop up thru this DNA testing too.

A friend of my mother in law did the same and found she had a half-brother.
