"American Pickers" star Frank Fritz is getting candid about his relationship with co-host Mike Wolfe.
The popular History Channel reality series, which premiered in 2010, chronicles the adventures of the pickers as they travel across the country in hopes of finding and rescuing prized objects with stories deeply rooted in American history. Danielle Colby provides much-needed assistance when the two minds find themselves in comedic binds along the way.
But the friendship between the beloved duo has been strained. Fritz recently told The Sun that he has left the series and is no longer in touch with Wolfe, 57.
"I haven’t talked to Mike in two years," the 55-year-old told the outlet. "He knew my back was messed up, but he didn’t call me up and ask how I was doing. That’s just how it is."

Fritz admitted that it would be difficult to "put the show on after not talking to somebody for two years."
"I think Mike wants to get his brother Robbie in there to replace me," Fritz claimed. "I don’t know why he’s behaving like that towards me. You couldn’t just stick two people in a van and get the chemistry you get from me and Mike. We’ve known each other for about 40 years. We can finish each other’s sentences. When everybody is getting along and there’s no drama, me and him are very good together."

“Watch Wes Work” has Frank’s old Ford Ranger pickup.
too funny!
My best "pick" was buying a first edition "Dune Encyclopedia" hardback for $1 at a flea market. I was looking forward to maybe selling it for at least $15. What I didn't know is that author Frank Herbert after initially approving the encyclopedia later disapproved of it so only limited # of copies were printed.
Oh, and a week later I sold it on eBay for..... $202.50.
p.s. I actually made an additional $100 from that sale because there was a very funny back story about the packing that I sold to a magazine for $100.
Reality TV is scripted.
But NOT "Amish Mafia." That was the one reality show on TV that was completely AUTHENTIC!
Sorry, I flipped the names. You are correct about the revised possible motive. Interesting enough, Frank (the short one) had a girl friend on a couple of shows. I guess it never worked out.
That’s why I quit watching.
Shameful.
Mike was and always has been the primary personality on the show. Frank was just a friend and useful sidekick. He can come up with no banter by bringing others in on trips with him.
“Lol. You don’t enjoy the former roller derby queen?”
We watched Roller Derby on TV when we were kids in the 50s and early 60s, but seldom after that. I never knew that Danielle from American Pickers had been part of it at one time.
My dad was always cheering for Ralphie Valladeres and his team, the Thunderbirds. I think Danielle was in the sport long after that.
Pickers and Pawn Stars work in history stories with the items on the show. That’s how History attempts to make it compatible with the theme of the channel.
I read that he’d had a serious back operation and also has a real bad case of Crohn’s Disease.
If you say so. It must be very fleeting because I don’t remember such attempts. It doesn’t really matter since the History Channel is pretty devoid of history anyway. Even when they claim to do a history based show they don’t, e.g. Vikings.
I disagree. They usually go into a hoarders junk pile, find something and give the person money for it. That old dude was never going to go into that pile, and his kids probably would have hauled it to the dump when they kicked the bucket. Selling it for more than they paid is capitalism. Or do you think the old dude was going to be able to market that piece on ebay
Danielle is/was a burlesque dancer.
Rolly polly!!!
Haven’t watched this show for along time ,is the Tattoo Lady still there ?
He probably is paying alimony and needs the $$$.
Thanks for that.
I always suspected reality tv was lucrative for the shows actors
I try to avoid “Pecksniffian Perfidious Albion,” but you do you.
Never seen antique dental tools on there I bet. ;-)
