~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I don’t see how their could be.
The PCR test does not identify the Covid Virus or the illness in people.
It detects a sequence of molecules not exclusive to Covid. The PCR test has tested fruit, a goat, Coca Cola, Spanish Water and orange juice positive for Covid. So a test for the variant would not likely succeed in being accurate either - if it can’t tell coca cola from a goat, then how could such a test distinguish between strains of a virus?
Is there a separate test for variant ?
I asked that very question at my local CVS. Before I knew it I was strapped on a gurney and being rolled into the storage closet. Things are getting wacky.
