“I’m admitting young healthy people to the hospital with very serious COVID infections,” wrote Cobia, a hospitalist at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, in an emotional Facebook post Sunday. “One of the last things they do before they’re intubated is beg me for the vaccine. I hold their hand and tell them that I’m sorry, but it’s too late.”
“They cry. And they tell me they didn’t know. They thought it was a hoax. They thought it was political. They thought because they had a certain blood type or a certain skin color they wouldn’t get as sick. They thought it was ‘just the flu’. But they were wrong. And they wish they could go back. But they can’t. So they thank me and they go get the vaccine. And I go back to my office, write their death note, and say a small prayer that this loss will save more lives.”

I know several people who refused the covid vax who have had great medical care in hospitals. In fact, doctors and nurses never mentioned it to them.
Talk about a hater. You take the Hate Trophy.
The whole story reads like COVID fan fiction.
“A patient who is breathing comfortably and able to talk in full sentences is unlikely to be in such distress that urgent intubation is needed.”
But you know, they are having deep conversations with their doctor immediately before their intubation... Of course they are....
Hyperbole much doc???
I think you do
What a load of crap!
Right on the money.
my bro died because they “waited”.....and never gave him the Hydrochl. or the ivermectin....they are murderers...
If you look at the images, this doctor is as fat as a bloated hippopotamus.
This one gets my nomination for the most hateful AND idiotic comment of the day.
Smells like 200% Democrat Crap
“a hospitalist”
Talk about a made up story!

You know, that’s an actual legitimate medical specialty.
You are correct. His post was probably the worst I have read on this site.
The sooner the last anti-vaccine nutter takes their last breath, the better.
They don’t want to vaxx? Die in the damned street, or go broke paying for their care, I’ll just laugh.
Thinning the herd indeed; any idiot who could get the vaccine and doesn’t, and subsequently dies raises the average IQ.
I’m sorry for your loss. It is murder. I think they want the numbers to be high. To push their product. I am angry when I think of it so I try not to. You stay healthy.
Dying and they say this crap ?
Story is crap. Young folks aren’t informed enough about these things to ‘cry because they thought a certain skin color would, protect them’ or that they cry because ‘they thought a certain blood type would save them”.
Only folks who have been following the news and reports would even know about studies that even suggested these things. That rules out young people who don’t spend hours weeding through news articles every day.
DISGUSTING FEAR PORN.
Yep.
WHAT IS A HOSPITALIST?Sounds a lot what we called "Project Manager" in the engineering world.A hospitalist is a licensed physician who practices in a hospital and treats an array of conditions. These doctors work to treat patients staying in the hospital due to a variety of illnesses and injuries.
The term “hospitalist” is actually relatively new, first coined in 1996. The hospitalist model of care quickly showed value in proving both efficiency and improved patient outcomes. Studies have even shown how hospitalists helped reduce the length of patient stays.
The need for hospitalists emerged from increasingly complex hospital patient cases. These cases needed dedicated physicians, rather than clinicians also managing ambulatory care and other clinical obligations. Hospitalists emerged from this gap in the medical workforce, and this specialized area of medicine was born.
WHAT DOES A HOSPITALIST DO?
Hospitalists provide general medical care to hospitalized patients. They lead the hospital medical team, coordinating care for inpatients. They may examine individuals as they’re admitted, ordering x-rays, diagnostic tests, and other lab work. Hospitalists examine test results, order treatments and medical services, and prescribe medications. For example, a hospitalist may order respiratory therapy for a patient with pneumonia. They may prescribe antibiotics for a patient with a kidney infection. Many patients that end up in the hospital have complicated cases. They could have multiple health conditions occurring at once, making hospitalists incredibly important. Unlike specialists that work solely with one organ system or a certain patient demographic, hospitalists see it all. But they also refer patients to specialists when needed. Aside from clinical care, hospitalists may also pursue other endeavors like research, teaching, and performing additional leadership duties.
Gee, I feel sorry for this "Hospitalist", I bet this really cuts into the time he/she would be doing abortions.
