“I’m admitting young healthy people to the hospital with very serious COVID infections,” wrote Cobia, a hospitalist at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, in an emotional Facebook post Sunday. “One of the last things they do before they’re intubated is beg me for the vaccine. I hold their hand and tell them that I’m sorry, but it’s too late.”
“They cry. And they tell me they didn’t know. They thought it was a hoax. They thought it was political. They thought because they had a certain blood type or a certain skin color they wouldn’t get as sick. They thought it was ‘just the flu’. But they were wrong. And they wish they could go back. But they can’t. So they thank me and they go get the vaccine. And I go back to my office, write their death note, and say a small prayer that this loss will save more lives.”

Good point.
It’s been long discussed...how Al.Com is funded, and some believe it’s through various foundations, which lead back to Soros.
Generally, any story from the site....I tend to question, and be skeptical over the intent or writing style.
Fake story
Hands down, feel good story of the last 20 months
A hospitality is a real job. A doctor who works at a hospital, not in his own practice. He sees how the patients are doing during their stay, bc the surgeon and the private practitioner are not there that much. A hospitalist saw my husband after his recent surgery, for matters like tubes and pain, in coordination with the nurses.
Sorry, but this is a steaming pile of horse sh*t! This story line is worse than a cheap drug store novel!
Man is the Left getting desperate!
Those are not cures. They are treatments. They work for some but not all but they are better than nothing. Covid was a culling disease. It killed the sick and elderly. That’s why it was nicknamed “Boomer Remover”.
Lots of young healthy unvaccinated people dying of COVID?
Drivel.
Hospitalists are usually internal medicine physicians that provide services only to in-patients at hospitals. They do not have practices at an office location, and only see patient that are admitted. They arrange consultants (other specialists) to see patients and care for general medical needs.
Looks like The Babylon Bee has some competition.
> LMFAO <
It’s a shame that you were compelled to add that at the end. Because I would have liked to explore this issue with you further. Maybe I’d learn something. (I’m vaccine-neutral by the way. I’ve made my decision, but I am unsure enough that I would not shout it from the rooftops.)
Anyway, that LMFAO hints to me that perhaps a serious discussion would not be possible here. So unfortunately I’ll have take a pass on that.
Hospitality are generally good...they are MDs who coordinate all the different medical providers for a patient
HOSPITALISTS!
I was wondering why the antibiotic wasn’t knocking back the Strep. It’s probably too late to get tested and I was never within 6 feet of anyone for any length of time except family and that’s where I got it. But I am glad I got vaxxed so I didn’t have to worry as much.
“When my family member had the Wuhan Flu, they told her to wait for a month before getting the vaccine.”
One of the strangest things I have heard, during this whole debacle, is that those who had covid should still be vaccinated.
Theoretically vaccines provide the body a chance to create an immune response before it has encountered the virus.
What could the human immune system possible hope to learn from the vaccine that it did not already learn from the virus itself? The answer, of course, is quite literally nothing.
I would even submit, that having seen the real virus, then being challenged with the body creating spike protein, that the only thing it could serve is to confuse the immune system. Having seen the real thing, the immune system probably see’s the vaccine as something else entirely.
Whole lot of cognitive dissonance going on there, huh?. You know that you followed the crowd out of irrational fear (99.3% survival rate = bad flu season...oooo, scary), and now you are mad at everyone that hasn’t. You know that you allowed someone to inject you with an experimental medical treatment and deep down inside you know that there is no guarantee that there won’t be horrific side effects down the road, and it makes you mad that others don’t have to deal with this fact. You know that if, God forbid, it does happen to you that you will have ZERO recourse, because you signed the little piece of paper saying that you understand that NO ONE can be held responsible for anything that happens to you, except you, and it makes you mad, because they told you it was safe.
If I get the COOF, there is a 99.3% chance that I’ll be just fine. There is a 100% chance that you’ll never get over your affliction.
No, the LMFAO was merely at the humor you used in your post. And contempt for some of the opinions of some of the unvaccinated and those disparaging getting vaxxed (like any moron using ‘sheeple’ is someone worth listening to)
I thought about it, too. Seriously. I would have been much happier with another couple of years of testing (hell, months). I don’t denigrate genuine concern, only ignorant paranoia.
Essentially it came down to more, and better qualified experts on one side than the other. By a lot.
Sure, sometimes the ‘expert’ consensus is wrong, even harmfully so (e.g. thamidolide)- but the vast majority of serious professionals is what I chose to go with; I admit I was also prejudiced by what I perceive as the low level of intelligence of most of the prominent pundits and journalists speaking against it :-(
In *my* opinion, the only opinions worth considering are those of medical professionals, and specifically those medical professionals with expertise (meaning published, peer-reviewed research) and doctors actually treating COVID. I can respect the opinion of people who use those types of sources, I can’t respect people who follow the opinions of random cranks on Youtube.
Regards.
I’ll take those odds, since my ‘affliction’ is holding worthless morons in the contempt that they richly deserve.
