Just because you don’t know relevant facts does not mean that others don’t either. Your “gut feel,” absent facts, should be far more reticent to think it’s time for you to level such critique.
Yes, many things are reasonably called theories. It simply means no known fact goes against the claims made. But someone such as you calling something a “theory” does make it untrue or the person making the claim(s) wrong, a wacko, or deserving of your derision.
Re: 126 - If you have facts to support your claim in your initial post, then please share. A cursory search yields theories, speculation, unnamed sources and the like.
My gut feel is to doubt claims made in the absence of facts or other evidence.
