RE: bathroom toilet
*************************
One of our bathrooms still has the original 1960s lavendar commode, tub, and sink. Husband has mentioned updating, but I nixxed that ‘cause I adore the purple and everything functions as is. Although the room itself is very long and narrow, that is a structural issue and not in our budget.

Your toilet alone in good vintage state is worth about 800. So if you ever decide to rip them out you may want to resell them.
Bathroom slide.....
Oh that actually sounds cool. Update it with some cool prints on the wall.
The toilet I bought is pale yellow. I’m going to get a painted sink, one of those vessel types. Paint the walls a nice tan.

Our sinks and terlets have been changed out, but we still have the house’s original harvest gold and avocado green 1970s bathtubs!
Last time we changed out a terlet, we had a plumber do it, and he was grumbling that we were making him put in a used john that we’d gotten on Craigslist, instead of the shiny new model he could’ve gotten for us “at a very good price”. I told him the new ones weren’t as good, and he tried to tell me that a deluxe new low-volume crapper could flush just as well as an old one, because of “improved technology”. LOL
