Part of the problem with the inevitable destruction of the Three Gorges Dam is that there are lots of nukes located in the flood area. Major cities,big pharma has assets in the area and on and on. China is already dying. Give it 5-7 years before much of it is inhabitable.Air,water pollution farmland degraded or flooded,you name it they got a problem with it.

If the TG Dam fails, they won’t need as much of our land and they’ll have a lot fewer people to attack us with.
Demographics will be the downfall of China regardless of anything else. By 2035 it is predicted that there will be more Chinese seniors than young people due to the One Child policy. Also there are more males than females due to males being favored. China is aware of the demographic time bomb ticking in their country and is trying to accomplish what they want in a short time period. As for the dam regardless of how the weather reacts IMO it will be the poor Chinese engineering that will eventually cause it to collapse. China is still a third world country with a first world veneer. The dam collapsing would hasten the death of the CCP, with no idea what would replace it due to the Chinese history of being servants to a central emperor or government. It is not for us to come in and clean up what is in the flood plain if the dam collapses. Saving face is of utmost importance to the Chinese, even the CCP, so the dam collapsing would show the people of China that the CCP is incompetent. Would they revolt against the CCP? Hard to say but China will get old before it gets wealthy or powerful. Even if they were able to obtain the wealth or power they are aiming for maintaining it would be another task. With an aging society and countries in Africa starting to wake up to what China is it will be difficult to keep. Also the East Turkestan Islamic Group, a Uigyur ethnic terrorist group, that are in Pakistan and Afghanistan are a problem for China that no one hears about.
Putting the dam aside another situation that would hasten the fall of the CCP is Trump’s return. His dealing with China would hasten the collapse of the Chinese financial system due to the CCPs overwhelming dependence on the mfg. export business and China’s limited internal consumer base.
If 3GD gives way there is the potential for it to wash through the Yangtze all the way to Shanghai taking everything out along the way. Most scenarios have it hitting Wuhan and then dispersing through the countryside, but the surge would continue downstream to the ocean...only question is how much of a surge.
