“I’d say there’s hesitancy and I’d use another word — obstinance,” said Dr. Philip Keiser, a University of Texas infectious disease expert who’s been Galveston County’s Local Health Authority since 2016. “There’s this attitude, ‘You can’t make me!’”
With local hospitals full and no sign of Delta letting up, he fears Mesa County’s luck has run out.
In Galveston County, a lot of vaccine converts would have to step forward — and fast — to keep the Delta variant at bay. Keiser is still hopeful, but he’s not so sure he can persuade enough people in time.

Where’s the Novavax?
Based on what?! People who are vaccinated can still get it and pass it on. That’s why the UK shut down again.
This complete and utter lack of reason or actual SCIENCE in regards to this pandemic should be a wake up call to the world. It’s not about knowledge or reason - it’s all about listen to authority because I Haz the degree.
Aren’t we 60% vaccinated?
Hospitals are full? Is this killing people?
So if the vaccines work is this variant really causing a lot of damage?
Oh, get off your high horse. In AZ, we have something like 30‰ vaccinated and they daily ‘case’ rate, presumably still with the bogus ‘case’ definition, is like 6 or 7% of the peak. Bite me. Bag the theatrics.
Hospitals are not full of covid patients. This is an out and out lie.
It looks like the Indian Variant (what the fascist media calls “Delta” came and went in UK with no meaningful increase in deaths. Hope the US fraudulent “experts” keep yapping because people are finally paying attention to their lies.
Now hear this from Israel today.
The Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said in part:
“Right now there is growing opinion that the protection afforded by existing vaccines against the Delta strain is weaker than we hoped. We do not know exactly to what level the vaccine helps, but significantly less than we thought”

That’s the latest spin from Israel.
Israel has committed to giving third “booster shots” to vulnerable populations.
Pfizer is pushing for the FDA to approve third shots in this country.
How much money is China going to give our press to keep this going?
I am not obstinate. I am a free woman and do not want to join in on this reckless experiment. Russian Roulette is not for me.
Glow bull warming>climate change. Vaccine hesitancy>vaccine obstinance. Not hesitant possibly obstinate. Never had any intention of getting it and the PR push ain’t helping convince me. Thus, not hesitant but obstinate. Still in the “pay the price” column as pedo joe indicated.
I’ll fix the headlines- this is what the left wing media wou,d say if they really said what they think
“Common sense is fueling i dividual sovereign Independence In too many people, and this is dangerous, and unnacceptable’
Bull pucky on the LA Times.
Herd immunity was at 60%
Do antibody titers instead.
This covid money grab by drug companies and their bought off politicians is pure evil.
Why not hijack the #ProChoice hastag at this point? lol
Funny how they consider that people who choose to ‘take their chances with a virus that has a 99.98% survival’ rate, are being ‘Reckless’
Just this week, I’ve seen a couple mainstream articles that have ceded the while the Delta Variant appears appreciably more contagious than the original strain, it’s also less virulent (lethal, serious), even in the unvaccinated.
That reality, combined with current science that indicates the vaccine/natural antibodies further reduces the risk of serious outcomes in the Delta Variant, suggests the Delta Variant isn’t anymore ‘deadly’ than the seasonal flu, and perhaps not much more deadly than the common cold.
The evolutionary pressure on this virus - like all viruses - is to become less lethal in its hosts as it spreads through the host population.
They are banking on the new and improved Delta-plus to remedy that statistic. /s
Is it wrong I find that hilarious?
It is all bs..
From the Wall Street Journal.....
Delta Variant
There’s no sign of a surge in hospitalization or severe illness, and the vaccines remain extremely effective.
