A woman has brutally killed her husband after learning that he had allegedly been sexually abusing their son and daughter for years, according to reports. 59-year-old Corinna Smith from Neston, near Liverpool, UK, filled a garden bucket with water from the kettle and three bags of sugar.

We live in a crazy world that puts the emotions first ahead of the facts and the proper way to deal with wrongdoing.
If the guy did it I guess you could say he was “crazy” the wife doing what she did could also be called “crazy” as well.
A guy I knew once said:
“Crazy people are attracted to crazy people”
I hope this was a joke. You've read one article and have come to the conclusion that there was no abuse? That's funny.
If he molested the kids she should go free.

She may not have known about the boiling point, but, the recipe of water and sugar is how you make simple syrup, which in turn can be a viscus and a bit sticky of a substance. It is more likely it was that which was on her mind, knowing it would make him suffer more.
Sugar makes the water syrupy so that it sticks thickly to the skin and therefore transfers the heat to the skin much more effectively than water.
There it is!
You don’t. Until someone retracts the allegation (oops).
If the mother really knew and didn’t intervene, does she pour a bucket over herself?
It sticks like napalm.
Basically, she killed him with boiling caramel.
I can’t really argue with that. But it also makes it viscous.
When people lose faith in the criminal justice system they will take justice into their own hands. This is why justice must be swift and certain.
Sorry. I’m good with it. My only issue is that he didn’t get his day in court. Nevertheless, she probably had enough evidence from her children and her own conscience.
But attitudes like yours have made it impossible execute the guilty lest they feel the slightest twinge of pain upon their exit. I am good with plenty of pain on their way out.
sugar raises the boiling point if water allowing it to get much hotter
some of us remember basic chemistry
She turns him in, he gets a slimy lawyer and an equally slimy woke judge, he skates and maybe gets to keep the kids, no her way wasn’t great but it saved a lot of time
My guess is that she was not really ignorant, all those years, of what her husband had done. Her real anger was her own years of simmering rage inside while saying and doing nothing. THAT, not a sudden revelation, was the dam that burst. Just my guess.
Dude was 80. Kid is probably in 30’s. You created a whole separate story! Lol!
Hope he was guilty. Women never lie, so he must’ve been.
Never heard that before. Maybe gasoline instead for a kind of home-made napalm?
Didn't catch that when I was cutting and pasting. Good observation.
I actually have a very traumatic experience with a similar situation. A guy was patching cracks in his driveway by heating up tar in a 5 gallon bucket using a brush burner.
Some water had gotten into the tar and it exploded all over him. The burning tar burned his clothes off. His sister tried to cover him with a polyester blanket. It caught on fire as well. It was a horrible sight. On the way to the hospital in the back of the ambulance... he kept asking if he was going to die. And we kept assuring him that he would be alright, but everyone knew that he didn't have a chance. He survived a couple of days in the hospital.
