As it turned out, my sciatica symptoms (which make great rhymes) were actually due to the piriformis muscle knotting up and impinging the sciatic nerve, resulting in sciatica symptoms.

the pain can often be quite enormous
it effects the sciatica
and hurts quite a bitica
