LOL, how did those late subs work out for you, Southgate?
Well played. Hate when it ends in a shot out. Young George held up well. No tears after his side lost.
That really sucked all three late replacements missed.
Ditto and I agree.
Now I just hope the UK remembers how great they’ve felt recently.
And tells their Deep State to sod off.
LOL, how the heck do you sleep after watching a game like that.
Turned out to be a fun tournament all things considered, great to see a real crowd again.
I always liked the Euro more than the World Cup.
Happy for Chiellini, he went through some of the worst years the Italian team has ever had.
Congratulations Euro Champions Italy!
WOW!
It is not coming home....😩
Those two English subs had one job...🤦♂️
Never put players in a position where their first touch of the ball is a PK. Southgate deserves to be grilled for that.
Let’s see, four World Cup titles to one. I’d say Italy is more a “home” than England is.
I note on the message boards they are talking about “The Elephant In the Room”.
It was a tale of two different halves.
England seem to dominate the first half, Italy the second.
What helped Italy in the second half is they opened up the game and stretched out the English defense by utilizing their wings much more.
BTW, whatever happened to the English “long ball” game. For a long time that’s all they knew how to do.
Speaking on ITV, Keane roared: "If you're Sterling or Grealish, you cannot sit there and have a young kid [Saka] go up for a penalty ahead of you, you can't.
"You cannot let a shy 19-year-old go up in front of you.
"They have a lot more experience, Sterling has won trophies, they had to get in front of the young kid and stand up."
