The Football Association has said it is “appalled” after a number of England players were subjected to racist abuse on social media following the Three Lions’ Euro 2020 loss to Italy.
Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka all missed from the spot on Sunday night as England went down on penalties.
The trio’s social media pages were quickly flooded with racist comments, leading the FA to release a statement condemning the “disgusting behaviour”.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson also condemned the racist abuse, saying those responsible should be “ashamed of themselves”.

The Brits are as racist as anyone on the planet all this say no to racism stuff was just a farce watch EPL league sometime you won’t see Al Sharptons of the world in the stands of a Westham Manchester City match anytime soon
Any examples of the claimed racism?
Directed at black players or white Englishmen?
As far as I know the black players ARE Englishmen hence the reason they are in the team.
What happened in the penalty shootout was that 2 white players scored and 3 black players didn’t and some people are seeing this as a pattern of black people being inherently bad at penalties because of something something inferior mind and so on and they’re posting this stuff in the internet calling them monkeys.
There is also cynicism in the way Southgate ordered and picked out the penalty takers to have a “minority” represented to score the game winner in the shut-out. The English coach picked out a 19 year-old who has never made a penalty shot in his professional career for instance which creates a lot of frustration for the English supporters.
All three of the players that missed goals were black - if that helps
Most of them were written by neo-Marxist provocateurs.
And, a couple of stoned British teenagers who bet on the game.
I think England is one of these teams that traditionally puts the best penalty takers first (I think most but not all teams do it) as the later ones might not even get a chance if the earlier ones fail.
The media have declared that it is enough that you are told that they were "racist comments."
That is all that you need to know, Comrade!
Regards,
Only the shot that hit the post could be considered inferior. The others were saved by the goalkeeper.
I do wish that people here would notice that anti-black racism is mostly gone in the US. It’s more prominent in Europe, at least from my observations.
"It starts at the very top."

The kicker can still be at fault if he lets the keeper save, but yeah.
I looked through some of the older famous games to be sure and it really seems England has the tradition of the captain always taking the first penalty, so more reliable kickers first.
Sure. A team should always try its most reliable scorers first. That’s just common sense.
I am sickened by the racist abuse aimed at England players after last night’s match.
It is totally unacceptable that players have to endure this abhorrent behaviour.
It must stop now and all those involved should be held accountable. W— The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (@KensingtonRoyal) July 12, 2021
Anyone know where I can actually read these alleged racist comments?
What’s funny is, these players shrill for a philosophical system where people are judged by the color of their skin, then get upset when people are (wait for it) …. Judged by the color of their skin
