That’s a beautiful piece of property. The water garden was lovely. I liked the caption under the photo with the truck - “John following me in the truck due to it being hunting season and bucks are mean this time of year.”
I laughed because I’d be mean too if people were shooting at me.
I dug that watergarden with a shovel. It took me a week. My little JRT Kipper loved the pond. After he passed I couldn’t stand watching the pond without him running around it. When I got my two Feist girls they were terrified of it. They hate water so I spent a week taking it out and putting a dump truck full of dirt in it.
About the buck...I was walking the farm one day and since it’s a couple of miles I decided not to take my rifle. I was a mile from the house when a huge buck charged out of the woods and stopped close enough I could have touched him. I stood there and stared at him while he sniffed at me. He was so big I thought he had to be part Elk or something. Finally he blew snot all over me, whirled around, and raced back to the woods. I told my husband about it when I got home and told him how big it was. He said “there are no whitetails that big”. Well, a month or so later he (the buck) was hit and killed by a truck on the road. He totaled the truck. They took him to the slaughterhouse and he weighed 300 pounds. They removed several arrowheads from his carcass.
After that I made him follow me in the truck if I was walking too far to take my rifle. LOL

I’m reading the book “Chaos” by Tom O’Neil, about the Manson murders, right now. He believes (and so did the entire LAPD and LASO) that the Helter Skelter thing was bullshiite. I’m in the middle of it right now and it’s looking more and more like an MK-ULTRA operation. The CIA was definitely involved.
